I’m a wife, a mother, a Noni to my grandsons, a gardener, and a photographer …. I’m Ellen! I’m just over here being who the Lord created me to be and making my clients feel like the legit models they are! Though they warn me ahead of time that they will be awkward in front of the camera, my response is always, "Mm hmm, we'll see about that"!!
You might know me as
So, Ellen Renee Photography was born. Not only is it my given name, but my momma, who I lost in 2019, was the only person who really ever said my first and middle name together. I can still hear her saying it, (though it was usually reserved for when I was pushing her buttons or when she didn't agree with me!)
I'm so excited for this next chapter, to really create a consistent, welcomed, and at-home experience for my clients.
Building a relationship with my clients is at the core of why I love this business so much and I really wanted that experience to start at the beginning when you land on my website. Creating an experience that makes you want to grab a cup of coffee or iced tea and get cozy as you explore.
When I first started my photography business, I named it Who is Leading E Photography.
It was created to serve as a reminder to always look to the Lord’s leading first and to not get too far ahead of myself. My intention was to create a door to share my story of faith.
While the intention to lead my business with a heart full of faith lives on, the name itself was no longer serving its purpose. I ended up spending more time enunciating than sharing my faith!
With all the lessons learned and experiences gained from my first four years in business, it was time for a change. For me, growth meant simplifying.
I believe life is too short y’all! I’d rather hear your real story and share my real story.
Honestly, I believe that's how my photography approach is a little different. I literally feel giddy listening to the special details you envision for your wedding day or the big dreams and goals you have for your business.
I’ve been told a few times that I should have been a cruise director because of the corporate events I used to plan!
I guess that’s why I have a hands-on approach to helping my brides plan out their timeline sooner rather than later in the journey. Everyone being on the same page = a stress-free wedding day.
I’m fascinated by all things garden-related and one day, I’m going to replicate the Magnolia gardens for my own enjoyment.
You might go to the Magnolia Silos for their cupcakes or the possibility of seeing Chip & Jo, but me, I could literally sit smiling in that garden all day long.
My honest hope and prayer is that you have been able to find gratitude in the blessings and a silver lining to all the clouds that COVID-19 has brought our way.
These sweet couples scrapped their 100+ guest weddings for a more intimate setting. I'd be more than happy to chat with you about options for my couples who have had to rethink their original wedding plans.
