I could honestly write a whole blog post on what a beautiful couple Chris and Bridget are or how beautiful their elegantly intimate wedding in Houston TX was … but that is pretty self-explanatory just by looking at the images. I mean c’mon… tell me they don’t look a lot like Ken & Barbie?? What I would rather talk about though is what became clearly evident throughout their bumpy, thanks to COVID, wedding journey.
I could tell just from my initial emails back and forth with Bridget that she was a very kind spirit and then after my phone call with her sweet mom, I really got the sense the apple did not fall far from the tree. My initial thought was only confirmed during her and Chris’ engagement session, when I really got to see just how genuine, kind, and caring they both are.
What became obvious though in the time leading up to and on their wedding day, was they had left the same impression on all of their wedding day vendors and all of us knowing the speedbumps and roadblocks these two sweet people had gone through only made us all want to rally and be even more flexible than normal to do whatever we could to make their day as amazing as possible. To me, that really says something about the kind of people they are and the sweet families who raised them!
I could keep going on (like those who know me know I can do – ha! 😉 but the bottom line is that despite the curveballs thrown their way, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 rang true and is TRULY the ultimate story of their elegantly intimate wedding day in Houston TX!! It was such a blessing to be a part of their wedding day!!!
“4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
