Touching Peach Creek Ranch Wedding
Moments before their first touch, Ashlin & Darren separately read letters they wrote for each other. As Ashlin, surrounded by her closest girls, began to read the letter Darren wrote to her, she broke down. As I looked around the room I saw she wasn’t the only one. I noticed a few of her bridesmaids were wiping their eyes as well. They knew of the heartbreaking losses mentioned in Darren’s letter that this beautiful bride had walked through. As Ashlin fought back the tears she chuckled and in a little bit of a surprised voice she said ‘His letter was sooo much better than mine’. I definitely think Darren earned some major brownie points with that letter.
I feel like I need to elaborate a little on this beautiful couple. I met Ashlin and Darren for their initial consultation about a year and a half before their wedding date. Had it not been for the fact that the little cheesecake shop was closing, I honestly think we could have kept talking for hours. I know, I know that is so surprising to those that know me!
Well, let’s fast forward several months to their engagement session. These two are Texas A&M graduates and they are mighty proud to be Fightin’ Texas Aggies. So of course, part of their engagement session was held on the Texas A&M campus as well as their wedding venue, Peach Creek Ranch, near College Station (also owned by two sweet Aggies). Their engagement session was effortless and felt more like a guided tour around campus with two friends. I absolutely loved hearing all of their stories as we explored. At that point, I was starting to see the gift of hospitality the Lord had given these two beautiful souls. (You can find their engagement session images here)
Summer College Station Wedding
As their wedding day was getting closer our chats and texts became more frequent. From completing the questionnaire I have all of my brides fill out, to our phone conversations to catch up and go over the details and timeline, one thing became very apparent. These two wanted those that had made an impact on their lives to know just how special they were and that they consider them family.
The saying ‘you get what you give’ was on display throughout their wedding day. Friends and family pitched in to make it an absolutely beautiful day! It was moving to witness. I’m definitely not the only one who sees just how special Ashlin and Darren are and how special they make you feel!! I overheard several guests say how happy they were for the newlyweds and how much they deserved that happiness. Obviously, they had also been touched by these beautiful people!!!
Darren and Ashlin, THANK YOU, thank you for letting me capture your special day AND the privilege of now calling you both friends!!!

Sweetest first touch!!!!!
Darren was so afraid to open his eyes even though we all assured him it was okay and he wasn’t going to accidentally see Ashlin in any reflections …. soooo sweet!!!

Being the ring bearer is tiring work!!

After dinner, we headed out for a few more portraits at sunset.

Peaches made a quick appearance during the reception 🙂

This is the first wedding I’ve been to that the guys were more excited than the girls during the bouquet and garter toss.
I absolutely can’t wait until next Spring for these two cuties’ wedding!!!
All aboard the bus for Northgate!!
Loved working with these vendors to make Ashlin & Darren’s day amazing!!!
